T-Ball

Michael finished up another season of t-ball this summer.  He really had fun after he got over the fact that he had to wear a purple shirt.  To a 5 year old boy, purple can only be a girl color!  We tried to tell him he might be wearing a lot of purple...purple and gold are his school colors which is near and dear to mommy's heart anyway :-)  I slacked in the picture taking.  I only brought my camera to one game and the battery died before it was over.  So here is what I ended up with...

Michael pre-game, we are working on the shirt tucking in thing.  Not sure why, but he likes his shirts tucked in and his pants pulled just a bit higher than they should be :-)

Ready to go and so serious!

Michael indicating that I should stop taking pictures.

Summer is here again!

Well, its been just shy of a year since our last blog post.  I have received several friendly reminders that this needed to be updated :-)  Summer has officially kicked off and we have been busy!  Michael had preschool graduation on May 24th (round 2).  With a September birthday, Michael is just on the edge for the kindergarten cut off...one day to be exact.  This means he completed 2 years of preschool and will finally be heading to kindergarten this fall.  So far, he is really excited about it!

Michael was supposed to dress up for graduation and he really wanted to wear a tie - like Clark Kent does when he isn't busy being Superman. We went shopping and he picked out his own outfit. Personally, I thought he was incredibly cute!

Michael after graduation with Mommy and Daddy...he was not happy about having his picture taken this time around.

Michael and his buddy Hunter.  They won't be going to the same school this fall which will be sad for everyone.  But they will still see each other at before and after care at the daycare.

Right after graduation, we hit the road and head down to Missouri to see family and have some fun.  One of the days we went to Silver Dollar City.  Michael really impressed me with how brave he was to just hop on some of the rides.  Such as the one above called the American Plunge.  This picture doesn't do justice for how high the drop was.  You can't really see Michael, but he is safely tucked in the middle of Mike and Harvey.

Michael spotted a Spidey Bear at Silver Dollar City and had to have it.  He could really care less about going on any rides after this...but Mommy talked him in to it.

He wanted Spidey Bear to come along on every ride, which is against the rules.  This was about the only ride he could talk someone into letting him take the bear along...but doesn't he look so happy?

We spotted some go karts and Michael really wanted to go on them.  He was too short to drive these himself of course.  He was also really excited to go on these...until he realized how fast they went.

But we found some a little more Michael's size!

A picture with Grandma Shirley the day we left...notice the bear still in tote.

Michael has been taking lots of pictures with my camera lately...this is just a random self pic that I thought was cute.  The end for now...hopefully it won't be another year before the next post :-)
