Summer is here again!

Well, its been just shy of a year since our last blog post.  I have received several friendly reminders that this needed to be updated :-)  Summer has officially kicked off and we have been busy!  Michael had preschool graduation on May 24th (round 2).  With a September birthday, Michael is just on the edge for the kindergarten cut off...one day to be exact.  This means he completed 2 years of preschool and will finally be heading to kindergarten this fall.  So far, he is really excited about it!

Michael was supposed to dress up for graduation and he really wanted to wear a tie - like Clark Kent does when he isn't busy being Superman. We went shopping and he picked out his own outfit. Personally, I thought he was incredibly cute!

Michael after graduation with Mommy and Daddy...he was not happy about having his picture taken this time around.

Michael and his buddy Hunter.  They won't be going to the same school this fall which will be sad for everyone.  But they will still see each other at before and after care at the daycare.

Right after graduation, we hit the road and head down to Missouri to see family and have some fun.  One of the days we went to Silver Dollar City.  Michael really impressed me with how brave he was to just hop on some of the rides.  Such as the one above called the American Plunge.  This picture doesn't do justice for how high the drop was.  You can't really see Michael, but he is safely tucked in the middle of Mike and Harvey.

Michael spotted a Spidey Bear at Silver Dollar City and had to have it.  He could really care less about going on any rides after this...but Mommy talked him in to it.

He wanted Spidey Bear to come along on every ride, which is against the rules.  This was about the only ride he could talk someone into letting him take the bear along...but doesn't he look so happy?

We spotted some go karts and Michael really wanted to go on them.  He was too short to drive these himself of course.  He was also really excited to go on these...until he realized how fast they went.

But we found some a little more Michael's size!

A picture with Grandma Shirley the day we left...notice the bear still in tote.

Michael has been taking lots of pictures with my camera lately...this is just a random self pic that I thought was cute.  The end for now...hopefully it won't be another year before the next post :-)

Summer is here!

We are already into summer and boy have we been busy.  There has been a pre-school graduation, a trip to the zoo, the lake, a reunion, mother's day, father's day, family, friends and of course t-ball!  At the end of May, Michael "graduated" from pre-school.  Michael won't be old enough to go to kindergarten this year.  So he will have another year of pre-school next year and will more than likely have another graduation.  But he still got to go through the ceremony and it was incredibly cute!  They sang 3 songs and Michael sang every word - I have to say I was pretty impressed.  Michael also started t-ball earlier this month.  So far he has enjoyed every minute of it!
Michael all dressed up for pre-school graduation.
A picture with daddy before graduation.
And one with mommy.

They sang us songs.
And he got a diploma.

And just looked pretty darn cute in his cap.
With his best buddy Hunter.
The one picture I was allowed to take at the zoo.

Ready for his first night of t-ball.

Swing away!

Patiently waiting at 3rd base.

Blowing mommy kisses from the dugout.

Good game!

Michael at 4 1/2

I just looked at the birthday tracker today and realized Michael is 4 1/2 today.  Only 6 months to go until he turns 5.  No longer a baby or a toddler...he is a pre-schooler, a boy you could say.  Really, where does the time go?  Michael is wrapping up his 1st year of pre-school and has learned so much.  He amazes us everyday with the things he says and the new things he has learned.  He is so sweet yet so very stubborn.  He is playful, energetic and is Daddy's best buddy.  And he still loves his Super Heroes...oh and his mommy!
Michael on Valentine's day with his Spiderman treats.

Cuteness at its best.

Off to daycare...and yes those are swimming goggles.

Michael fell asleep in the fort he and daddy made.

Our trip to see Santa

Michael was so excited to go see Santa.  He even wanted to have his picture taken by our tree before we went...he never asks for his picture to be taken!

But when we got there he wasn't so sure...so he rode the train.

Then he decided he wanted some ice cream...

...and he made friends with the reindeer.

But we never saw Santa (well, only from a distance)!  Maybe next year...I think I said that last year too :-)

Our Fall So Far...

We have had a busy and fun fall so far.  It started out with Michael's 4th birthday in September.  We went to visit family in Missouri towards the end of September.  We have been to a couple pumpkin patches.  And of course Halloween!  Michael started pre-school in September and has been busy learning new things and taking lots of field trips.  He really seems to enjoy it as they have been to the firehouse, another pumpkin patch and they had their Halloween party this week.  A local police officer came this week to teach them about Halloween safety.  He told me the police officer told them to stay away from the rangers, otherwise known as strangers :-)  Well, there are lots of pics to share so let get to them!

On Michael's birthday we took him to the zoo.  This is Daddy and Mikey crossing the bridge in the rain forest.

Michael was a little unsure of the little alligator.
 Mikey checking out the fish.
Michael and his Batman birthday cake.
Mikey opening his new movie - Scooby Doo Meets Batman.
On our trip to Missouri the boys did lots of fishing.
Mike waiting to catch something big.
Little Mikey getting bored waiting for Daddy to catch a big fish.
Mikey all worn out from the fishing.  Daddy had to carry him up the hill along with all the fishing gear.
Aunt Sue and Uncle Harvey took us to a really neat store where Mikey got to make his own car.
He picked out Missle from the new Cars movie.
We also went to Silver Dollar City while in Missouri.  Mikey and Daddy riding the frogs.
Mikey having fun on another ride.
I think this one shocked me the most.  Mikey wanted to go on the roller coaster by himself...and sit right up front!
 One tired Batman.
We met up with Mommy's friend Cari at the pumpkin patch.  Here is Mikey with Lexa and Jace.
Mikey in one of the 3 Little Pig Houses at the pumpkin patch.
Mikey and Lexa playing in the corn pool.
Mikey at our 2nd trip to the pumpkin patch, this time in Jefferson.
Checking out how tall his was this year.

Mikey with his pumpkin Daddy carved for him.
All ready to go trick or treating dressed up in his Batman costume.
