Pictures from the past month...

So I have been better about taking pictures, but less successful at posting them! The little guy continues to be as busy as ever. We have found it difficult to take him places we can't "contain" him...he's such a little explorer, or call him Mr. Independent, maybe even a little Monkey. I've heard them all :-) But we do love our busy little man. He has a new found love of singing and playing his guitar (aka his cubs bat). He even pulls out a few dance moves every once in a while. Unfortunately, I don't have any of those pics as he becomes shy once he has an audience.
Pushing my puppy around in the stroller.

We do love our Cubs around here!

For some reason he climbs into the toy box to play.

I think he may have a little resentment towards me later on in life for this one :-)

Mikey has a new fascination for seeing what he can fit in to.

This book shelve is just my size!

I get this look from Daddy.

Pouring all my water out and getting caught.

Memorial Weekend

So I have officially started slacking again with posting. I received a friendly reminder yesterday that I need to update the blog but quickly realized I haven't taken one picture since Easter...oops! We had BBQ yesterday so I figured I better snap some pics. Here you go-

The little guy relaxing...this is a rare occurrence!

Looking for bugs with Papa.

Then smashing them with the broom!

Going down the slide, looks like head first.

Pulling my new wagon mommy scored at a garage sale.

Thought you might have missed this photo the first time :-)

Standing up in my new wagon.

Playing with sidewalk chalk for the 1st time. It looked so yummy at first I had to taste it. Mommy promptly showed my what you are really supposed to do with it.

Grandma D. helping me draw.

The chalk works much better if you spill them all out.

Score one for Santa

The little man stayed with Grandma and Grandpa C. on Friday so Mommy and Daddy could have a much needed night out and also get some spring cleaning done on Saturday. There was an Easter egg hunt in town so they decided to take Mikey. Remember way back in December when the little guy was a perfect angel for Santa? Well, the Easter Bunny didn't go over as well.
Its kind of hard to see in this picture but the little guy is in tears. Apparently a giant bunny can be a little frightening when you are just a little guy :-(

So papa and Mikey shot some hoops instead.

And enjoyed the beautiful weather in my mini coupe.

The Easter Bunny made up for the scare and brought a basket full of goodies on Sunday.

A coloring book with puppies, maybe this bunny knows his stuff!

Chocolate for breakfast, the little guy might just change his mind about that bunny.

A couple weeks ago we were back visiting Gma and Gpa C. and unfortunately had to make a trip to the ER. Mikey was running, tripped and fell splitting his chin open. Here is a pic of the little guy from that day messy shirt and all. No stitches, they use skin glue...but it still took 3 of us to hold him down to get that done.

Our little cheese ball hamming it up before bedtime.

Mikey loves to color or yeller as he likes to say it.

18 months

Mikey was 18 months old on the 16th and we had his checkup today. The DR confirmed what Mommy and Daddy already knew, our little guy is growing up quickly! At Mikey's 15 month checkup his height was 32 1/2 inches which put him in the 90%. He has sprouted up to 35 inches which now puts him off the charts, what a tall little man we have. He has also gained 3 lbs since the last check up bumping him up to a whopping 26 lbs which is the 50%. With the weather getting warmer we have been trying to get the little guy outside when we can. This has resulted in a few temper tantrums...but only because he LOVES being outside and does not want to come in! With warmer weather in sight Mommy began her search of the Internet attempting to find a slide for the little guy. Who knew I wouldn't have to search any further than Uncle Troy and Aunt Jody's back yard? Grandpa and Grandma C. were nice enough to bring it down for us over the weekend. And they brought some special guests with them, Cousins Colby and Kiley-thanks for letting Mikey use your slide!
A little help up the slide.
Down we go!

Picking up sticks for Kiley.

Resting on Papa's lap. Oh and for loyal blog readers, that is Daddy's tomato plant in the background which can now officially we called a big weed in a bucket.
Reading a story with Papa.

I apologize...

...that's its been nearly 2 months since our last post. I do have several excuses, so here are a few-our computer was ridiculously slow for like 2 weeks, we haven't been very good at taking pictures, mommy spends most of her computer time on Facebook, oh and most importantly American Idol is back on! But we have been busy too. Daddy was crazy busy with work for a while and not to mention Mommy has been putting in OT too! Grandpa D. made a trip up from Missouri to see the little man. We went to Jefferson to see Grandma and Grandma C, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. This past weekend Grandma D. and Grandma and Grandpa C. all came to visit the little man as they are each traveling somewhere much warmer this week and we won't get to see them for a while. They little guy is saying so many words now its hard to count...Mommy's favorites are Boo Coo (Blue's Clues) and nanana (banana). But now onto the pics!

The little man all dressed up.

For some reason he loves the vaccum...I doubt this will last.

Ready to go out to eat for Mommy's BIG b-day.

Its amazing what a toddler finds amusing.

Mikey enjoying his Cars couch.

On our way to Jefferson.

Grandpa C. and Mikey looking for puppies.

Cheese!

Sorry I can't figure out how to turn this one :-)

We can't seem to get rid of the bebe (pronounced binky).

Making sure my hats still fit.

Loving my Valentine's day balloon from Grandma D.

I didn't know this before having Mikey, but apparently a toddler will climb on anything!

Christmas Pictures

We had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, all of which were celebrated with our wonderful family and friends. The little guy is showing a vast improvement in his present opening skills from his 1st birthday party. I think he is mostly excited that he gets to tear something to pieces and then pleasantly surprised when there is actually something inside :-) Our most wonderful gift of the season was received on the 29th...Daddy had his CT scan and is officially considered to be in remission! But now on to the reason you are here, pictures!
The UPS man came on Christmas eve...presents from Great Grandma D. and Grandpa D.

Oh so much tissue...

...to throw everywhere!

Wait a minute Mommy, you mean this fabulous box isn't the present?

Christmas Eve with Daddy and Great Uncle Woody.

Christmas morning with Grandma Sheri.

The actual present from Great Grandma D. He had so much fun with the box on Christmas eve we saved this until Christmas day.
Oh but wait, we aren't done with that box just yet!

Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Calvert's. This is actually Grandpa's gift. Mikey was interested in everyone's gifts but his own.

And finally a picture with cousins Colby and Kiley.
