Where did the summer go?

So again, its been way too long since my last post. The summer flew by so quick. We really have done lots of fun things...but of course I haven't always had the camera. Michael played blastball (pre-tball), had swimming lessons, we went fishing, went to the lake, enjoyed a few birthday parties, had fun in our own backyard, went to the fair...I think you get the picture :-)
Mikey waiting to catch a big fish.
Blastball was a little rough. Mikey spent most of the time like this.
He warmed up to it eventually...but only when he felt like it.
For the last practice, he was more than happy to go.
We made smores...in the microwave.
Daddy thought a pool for the backyard was a good idea...until he had to fill it and empty it all the time.

Back in Business!

Well, the old computer finally bit the dust. So we had to break down and get a new one. But the good news is I can update the blog in less than 2 hours! We had a wonderful weekend as the rain stayed away long enough for us to enjoy the weather. Saturday morning, the local fire station had a pancake breakfast. It is great for the kids as they have all of the firetrucks set out for everyone to see. Mikey had a blast!

Checking it ALL out.

He even got to spray the fire hose.

One more by the truck.

Checking out the inside...he kept asking to drive!

Just a few pics...

I know it has been a very long time since the last post. In my defense, our computer is pretty ancient as far as computers go. And it took me well over an hour to get a whole 5 pictures uploaded. The poor computer can't handle the stress of the internet and pictures all at once! So this will be short and sweet.

Cheesing it for the camera.

Too cute to pass up a pic of nap time.

Finally nice enough outside to test out the new bike.

Doing it all by himself!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It was another wonderful Christmas at our house and we hope the same for yours! Daddy managed only to have to work on Christmas eve this year as the snow held off Christmas day and the few days after so we could travel. The little man gets more and more excited every year as he starts to understand what its all about. Of course, for a 3 year old that means presents :-) He is going to be an active boy when the weather warms up as he got a bike, a quad and a scooter. Mommy and Daddy are going to have to put some serious thought into a shed come spring!

We did attempt to see Santa in mid December. The little guy was so excited only to lose his nerve when we walked up to Santa's workshop. He was actually trembling with fear when he saw the big guy from a distance. We didn't push it, but did take the chance for some photo opportunities. This was one attempt at our Christmas card photo.

Wildly ripping into his presents.

Mikey playing with a new train set.

Smiling somewhat in front of our tree. Notice his shirt says "80% Naughty and 20% Nice". That's about right, thanks Aunt Sue and Uncle Harvey!

Halloween and Turkey Baby

Ah, remember the days when I used to post every couple of weeks and even update the blog background according to the season? I know, its just a faint memory to me as well. So with about 2 weeks to go before Christmas, I thought I better get the Halloween pictures up :-)

Mikey at the pumpkin patch. He was much more interested in the cat than the pumpkins.

In a wagon at the pumpkin patch, where you can pick out more than just pumpkins :-)

On the way home, with a pumpkin just my size.

Mikey in his Buzz Lightyear costume. I think I have posted pictures of him in this before, but this time he has the pumpkin bucket to prove it was really Halloween.

Mommy, Mikey and his new cousin Kinsey. She was born the day before Thanksgiving and is absolutely perfect!

Yes, we do realize Mikey looks like he would be great with a brother or sister :-)
