A couple bucks at a garage sale = hours of fun!

Grandma Kathy scored big at a garage sale when she came across this Buzz Lightyear costume. The little guy loves it! For those of you that don't watch Toy Story everyday, Mikey is shooting the laser on the costume. Thanks Grandma!

Dear Spiderman,

I'm sorry I have been around much lately. I haven't watched your movies in months. And I certainly don't sling as many webs as I used. You see, I have discovered a couple of new friends. They follow me nearly every where I go...

This is Buzz Lightyear, he says cool stuff like "to finity and beyon" (aka to infinity and beyond).

And this is Woody, he says "yee-ha" and wears a cool hat like any cowboy would do.

I love their movies, I have 2 of them and watch them nearly every night.

Yep, you guessed it I even have a t-shirt (and of course this isn't my only one). I even asked mommy and daddy for Buzz and Woody cubers (aka covers for my bed). But don't worry Spiderman I still wear your shoes and big boy underwear :-)

~ Love, Mikey.

Can you believe...

...its been nearly 3 months since our last post! Mommy has been slacking with the picture taking and with the computer time. But after the longest winter ever, spring is finally here. So maybe and I do mean maybe, I will be better at taking pictures. Anyway this is what we have been up to -

Hanging out with Mommy at home, during one of the many many snow storms.

Pretending to be a fireman. But only when I'm taking a break from being Spiderman.

We went to fun birthday party where we climbed and went down slides (then took the best nap ever).

Asleep and Grandma and Papa's...wearing Mommy's old pink cowboy hat :-)

And finally the Easter bunny made a visit.

I put as much candy in my mouth before anyone can take it away!

Thank you Easter Bunny!

Swimming

Several weeks ago we got together with my mom's side of the family for Christmas. This year we decided to head to a local hotel with an indoor water park. Its the same one we went to for my Dad's birthday. So Mikey was pretty familiar with the place and it didn't take him long to hop right in the water. He was pretty brave this time and climbed right up on the pirate ship. Which completely stressed mommy out! There are lots of big kids around that don't pay a bit of attention where they are going. Oh well, the little guy had a blast and even went down the water slide with me. Good thing no family members witnessed that one as I'm sure it was a sight to see. We'll just say Mommy was a little more freaked out than Mikey was by the big splash at the end...I won't be winning any mother of the year awards for that one :-)

Christmas 2009

Hello and Happy New Year! Hopefully everyone had a wonderful holiday. Daddy kept very busy with all of the wonderful weather but we managed to sneak some holiday fun in there.
First we went to see Santa. Mommy was very nervous because the little man tends to run wild in big open areas...so the thought of waiting in line in a mall full of people seemed a little overwhelming. But if I might brag a little, Mikey did absolutely wonderful!

Waiting patiently in line to see Santa.

Finally getting to see the big guy. You can't tell from this picture but I actually smiled and went right to him. I told him I wanted a firetruck for Christmas :-)

After seeing Santa I got to ride the train and loved it!

In the mix of all the holiday happenings, Mommy and Daddy took me to get my 1st hair cut. Yep, that's right my 1st haircut.

Playing with my train set from Grandma D. on Christams morning.

Santa was kind enough to know Daddy's busy work schedule. So he made a special trip and brought my presents during nap time.

Wearing my new hat and jersey while playing with some new toys.

The full football attire.

Opening presents at Grandpa and Grandma C's house. As usual, I helped everyone else out too.

And finally a pic with Kiley and Colby.

Halloween Pictures

I thought since Christmas is just around the corner I better get the Halloween pictures posted :-) Sorry so late, Mommy's computer time has been minimal mostly due to a few sleep issues around the house. I'll just say someone no longer wants anything to do with their crib...it may be time for a toddler bed.
Mikey was of course, Spiderman.

Cheesy smile with Papa.

One more :-)

And finally, this is what happens when Mikey is just being too quite.

The past month...

This past month has gone by much quicker than I could have imagined. In mid September we celebrated Mikey's 2nd birthday. But more recently we had a celebration of life as my Grandma Hagen passed away on October 4th. We spent several days in Jefferson spending time with my family and remembering Grandma. My grandmother was a very special lady who had many children and many, many grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Here are many of the grandchildren with Grandma at Christmas 2007.

Many of the Hagen grandchildren on October 9th 2009 - Even though we were missing a few for the picture, we have had a few additions so we almost didn't fit!

Papa, Colby, Mikey and Kiley eating cupcakes and ice cream at Mikey's birthday party.

Mikey's new basketball hoop.

Mikey jamin' on his new guitar.

While back in Jefferson we attempted to go to the fall festival at the apple orchard. I say attempted because Mommy had all sorts of visions of wonderful pumpkin pictures, hay rides and hot apple cider. This was the only picture we could get, I did get some cold cider but mostly Mikey ran around like a wild man. Sigh, maybe next year as Papa kept saying.

And one last picture of the little man...this one is for our friends out in Colorado as yes, we are Broncos fans too :-)
